The biang biang noodles were so delicious, and so was the meat bun. The house chili oil was also aromatic and delicious. Owner was really nice! They only take cash or debit card if purchase over 25, so be prepared.
joojak is literally such a hidden gem. the owners were so friendly and nice, and the food was absolutely incredible. my favourite thing was definitely the xian pork burger, which was just so loaded with juicy, flavourful, and melt-in-your-mouth pork. the bun was warm, crispy, and paired so well with the meat. i cannot describe how delicious it was. prices are also super reasonable, and the beef roll was good (although note that it is served cold!). i absolutely love this place and it definitely serves the best xian pork burger in vancouver
We ended up here purely by accident, but a happy accident it ended up being! The server was very helpful in guiding us thru the menu especially as this region of chinese cuisine was new to us. Every dish we tried was delicious, a treat to the taste buds. The portions are large, the options are plentiful. We will be back for sure!
Went at 6pm on a Sunday and the restaurant was surprisingly empty. Around 6:30pm people started coming in and it was full house soon after. Haven’t been here in years because it’s a bit far for me but food was still good and didn’t disappoint! Chicken have a nice flavour to them. The beef in beef noodle was surprisingly good. Hand pulled noodles is always great, I don’t like the one with meat though so I opt for #12. The pork burger lack a little bit of salt, but it was not bad. Service was friendly and my tea cup are always refill before it run out.
The most genuine and kind staff and the most qq noodles!! Everything here is so yummy I gave up my New Years diet to try it all. The 3 in 1 biang biang noodles (#17 I think) is my favourite, you get to try a bit of everything! I ate so much I felt so full I was going to explode. The dumplings are very fresh too, and handmade with love. There are different flavours but the most classic is probably pork. The sour hot sweet potato noodles were ok, but my partner liked that the most, along with the simpler spicy biang biang noodles (#13??) The pork Chinese burger has been recommended by a food YouTuber, it is good but I think I am not a meat lover so it’s not my favourite. Next time I want to try the beef roll and other mains! It is vegetarian friendly too because you can get the noodles with just some veggies, tomato and egg, or just hot oil and it’s still very tasty. It is cash only but there are lots of banks nearby. Parking is free on the residential streets in the back or a couple blocks east of Kingsway.
Very delicious food. The noodles are made fresh and the sauces are savory and rich. There are only 5 tables but they do take reservations. The woman who takes the orders and serves is very friendly as well.
I’ve been meaning to try this Xian restaurant for a long time ever since hearing really good things about this place and reading the reviews on-line. I was not disappointed. Everything was so flavourful and fresh tasting. The hand pulled noodles have a very pleasant “bouncy” texture, the sauces were flavour without tasting overly salty or oily. The spices were fragrant and had just the right amount of heat to balance the flavours of the meat and vegetables. And the really quick and friendly service added to a very pleasing dining experience. The dining room is very modest and this place is best suited for a quick family meal and then to move on to run your errands...and not to take up a spot while others are waiting for their turn to eat this exquisite food!
perfect spot to get all ur Asian flavors satisfied..we got the best pan fried dumpling and hanldpulled noodles on Kingsway I tell u..the best and get the beefroll as well ..nom nom nom
